Well, I just flushed one day's worth of petrol down the toilet. The aforementioned Rob Richardson is about fifty minutes late, so I think it's safe to say class has been cancelled. At least I get to take advantage of free Internet usage before I leave...

So, back to where I was...
The teacher, Carol DesJardins, is a teacher that I can relate to. She seems like a kind of no-nonsense, let's-get-our-work-done-and-get-the-hell-out-of-here kind of person. She isn't one of those old, drill-sargent type relics from fifty years ago, but she pushes everyone along at a rather brisk pace. I find I respect that quality in an instructor.
I wish I could say I also respect Business Communications, but that would be deceitful.
If anyone ever wants to see the second-best way to butcher a language, enroll yourself in this class. First of all, this class is clearly cookie-cut. The instructor (I don't even know who she is) goes purely by the book. She reads things she has highlighted in her copy and all work assigned comes out of that book. Speaking of the book, it's one of the most horrible things I have ever laid eyes on. Every writing-related instruction makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork. The examples of writing that this book provides look atrocious. I would have the unresistable urge to start rewriting every sentence in it, if it weren't for the fact that I try not to look at it any more than I have to. This class is, by far, the worst out of the lot. Thank goodness I only have it once a week.

News out of the Red Baron front: I was finally stuck on the RAC's command team! Major Tripehound is in da house! Who cares if the electoral process was bypassed because of the lack of candidates? I don't! I get to eavesdrop on and debate with the top brass!

Well, that's pretty much the last month for me, in a nutshell. There isn't enough time in the day or money in the wallet for me to do as much as I would like to. Sigh...I guess I should head home. I need to finish downloading my IM clients.
(sits back in a contemplative manner, and inhales deeply...)
Ugh. I need to bathe, too.
